50. Laurie Notaro - The Idiot Girls' Action-Adventure Club
It was the sub-title of the book that really caught my attention: True Tales from a Magnificent and Clumsy Life. Notaro is a humor columnist for the Arizona Republic and this book is a collection of her articles. It's a collection of silly rantings revolving around this late-30's woman who has a wacky bunch of friends, a drinking problem, and can't seem to hold a job. The topics range from nightmare dentists (of which I can really relate to), the sufferings of bragirls at the local department store, neighbors who can't keep their mouths shut, and annoying mothers.
This book was really humorous and I was able to relate to a lot of what she was talking about. I recommend this to any woman in her thirties 'cause she'll totally empathize with the author.
