51. Mary Janice Davidson - Undead and Unemployed
Betsy Taylor still isn't thrilled with the whole concept of being the prophesized Queen of the Vampires. All she wants to do is live a semi-normal life. One thing she really hates is having to rely on her rich friend Jessica to support her. This means getting a job, and what's the best place for a girl to find one? Why at the Macy's shoe department! However, while she is trying to sell Pradas, a gang is running around staking and beheading area vampires. Eric Sinclair, her proclaimed consort, has to convince Betsy that she needs to put the shoes away and help save her people. With a lot of complaining, she agrees and what she finds along the way is a lot more complicated than she wants or fears.
Once again, Davidson had me rolling on the floor laughing. I'm still trying to figure out why this book is in the romance section of the bookstore since there is a lot more humor and villany than romance. Still, this book was a great, easy read and very enjoyable.
