30. Laurell K. Hamilton - Narcissus in Chains

Once again, Hamilton keeps me on the edge of my seat with one of her Anita Blake stories. This one is really complex with a LOT of things going on. It begins with someone kidnapping a couple of Anita's wereleopards but then transforms into much more than that. First Anita gets infected by one of her pard so she may become Nimir-Ra for real. Then she discovers with the marriage of the marks with Jean-Claude that she has contracted the ardeur, a need to feed off of lust. There's a lot more sex and erotica in this book than all of her previous books combined. Personally, I really liked the complex plot and would recommend this one. However, I strongly urge you to read all the other books first or else you'll have no clue as to what's going on.
