33. Tanya Huff - Summon the Keeper

I had actually forgotten to add this book to the original list, which surprises me because this was a really good book. Yes, it was a book I bought because it had a cat on the cover but I also knew the author was highly recommended for her vampire books. This one has nothing to do with vampires though. It's about Claire the Keeper and her talking cat Austin. Her job is to go to places where rifts opened in the fabric of existance and she needs to close them before the minions of hell break through. In this book, Claire is summoned to the Elysian Fields Guest House where what would seem to be a minor rift ended up becoming a big problem. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.
